Ashley brings to the (sequined covered) table over 15 years of event experience. She started her career in the Sales and Catering Office at a hotel in Washington, DC where she quickly went from color coordinating their filing system to orchestrating weddings and corporate events for groups as little as 10 to as large as 300. Here she collaborated with all the departments for seamless flow from arrival to departure.
After five years, her dream of working in the non-profit world finally came true when she started planning events for Friends of the National Zoo at Smithsonian’s National Zoo in DC. There, she tackled some of her biggest and most rewarding challenges. Monsoon like weather. Stinky elephants. Freezing weather (literally). There was nothing she couldn’t overcome with a smile on her face. It was in this roll she mastered working in different event spaces, daily and overseeing all the outside moving pieces (vendors) that make just one event happen.
Fast forward another five years and she found herself raising two southern belles just outside the beautiful city of New Orleans. While moving down south was not in the original plans she has found herself loving everything about it. From the music, the culture, the people and the food. While she has been a wedding planner in Philadelphia and Baltimore her favorite weddings have always been in the streets of New Orleans. As a day of wedding coordinator she will make sure your unexpected guests know exactly what to do when the second line starts playing and ensure your entire wedding runs smoothly so you are enjoying time with your family and friends.
